The latest transfer news and rumours from Manchester United on Sunday 6 January featuring Diego Godin, Nikola Milenkovic and current contract sagas.

Manchester United will battle Liverpool and Real Madrid for £42.5m-rated Porto right-back Eder Militao, according to The Sun.

The Porto star has a release clause in the contract he signed only last summer. The 20-year-old was signed from Sao Paulo for £3m in the summer.

Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas is a target for Manchester United, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The centre-back has a £30.5m release clause in his contract and United are reportedly ready to trigger that at the end of the season.

Inter and AC Milan are set to go head to head in a battle to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to Corriere della Sera.

The Serbian was a PSG and Manchester United transfer target last summer but his price tag of over £90m put off any potential suitors.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will discuss a move for defender Nikola Milenkovic with Ed Woodward this week, according to The Sun.

The 21-year-old defender would reportedly cost £45m from Fiorentina, having impressed in over 18 appearances for the Serie A club this season.
