BREAKING NEWS: IT'S PRESIDENT BUHARI VERSUS THE NBA THIS TIME

 Buhari
The Apex court of the federal republic of Nigeria has made a ruling to temporarily suspend the rulings against using old notes as a legal tender across the nation but it was shocking as president Buhari addresses the nation on what to do despite the rulings of the apex court of the nation.

That means the deadline for the old N500 and N1,000 notes remains February 10, 2023, despite the Supreme Court ruling temporarily suspending the deadline.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the continued use of old N200 notes as legal tender till April 10, extending the deadline for the note by 60 days.

That means the deadline for the old N500 and N1,000 notes remains February 10, 2023, despite the Supreme Court ruling temporarily suspending the deadline.
The old N200 notes will be used alongside the new N500 and N1,000 notes and other notes that were not changed.

The President gave this directive during a nationwide address on Thursday morning amid the scarcity of the newly redesigned N200, N500 and N1,000 notes which has led to hardship for Nigerians and adversely affected businesses.

We’ll Ensure That New Naira Notes Circulate Nationwide – Central Bank Appeals To Nigerians

We’ll Ensure That New Naira Notes Circulate Nationwide – Central Bank Appeals To Nigeria The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has said the report claimed to be quoting CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele as attributing the current challenge in the distribution of the newly redesigned Naira banknotes to a shortage of printing materials is false. In a statement issued on Saturday, CBN spokesman, Osita Nwasinobi, said the CBN governor did not make such statement during his presentation to the National Council of State at its meeting on Friday, February 10, 2023. Mr Nwasinobi said Emefiele only told the meeting that the NSPMC was working on printing all denominations of the Naira to meet the transaction needs of Nigerians. He said while the CBN appreciates the concerns shown by all stakeholders about the distribution of the new Naira notes, “We are alarmed at the extent to which vested interests are attempting to manipulate facts and pitch the public against the Bank.” Nwasinobi said the CBN remain...

Diogo Dalot back on track

Jose Mourinho says Diogo Dalot is poised to make his Premier League bow for Manchester United in Saturday's Premier League meeting with Southampton. Injuries have restricted Dalot to just two appearances in other competitions since his summer arrival from FC Porto but the Portuguese youngster has already shown flashes of his potential, putting in a solid defensive display during September's 3-0 win at Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League before providing an assist for Marouane Fellaini in the Carabao Cup clash against Derby County. Speaking to MUTV's Stewart Gardner, Mourinho confirmed the 20-year-old is now back to full fitness and ready to help fill the void left by defensive absentees Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian. “Players must be ready and in this case some are going away to the medical room and others are coming back,” explained the Reds boss. “For example, this weekend will be the first call for Dalot. He's ready now. ”He had an importan...
